The only government hospital available in the Sylhet city. It have a good service at a cheaper rate. It stand with a huge main building, a Outer service building, and a emergency building. It's outdoor environment is quite good. But the indoor environment is opposite form outdoor. It's very crowded. Because it's the only government hospital available in Sylhet. It's service are good. If anyone needs a good treatment with cheaper rate in Sylhet, it's the best choice.

Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College is one of the best government medical college in Bangladesh which was established in 1962. It is located in Sylhet. Originally named "Sylhet Medical College", it was renamed in 1986 in honour of General Muhammad Ataul Gani Osmani, Commander-in-chief of Bangladesh Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971. The college is affiliated with Shahjalal University of Science and Technology under the School of Medical Sciences. It has very advanced treatment equipments and qualified doctors.

Osmani Medical College ranked as one of the most prestigious medical colleges of South Asia. It was established in 1875 as sylhet Medical School in the old part of the Capital city, sylhet. Sixteen local kings and philanthropists helped in erecting the medical school building in 1889. The school was made a medical college in 1962. To acknowledge the contributions of the . Until 1957 License of Medical Faculty (LMF) degree was offered from this college. During 1963–1972 condensed courses for MBBS degree was offered. In 1972 it was upgraded as a full-fledged medical college and the first batch students for MBBS degree enrolled in 1973.
