Robot Restaurant in Mirpur, Dhaka

Bangladesh's first-ever robot restaurant was launched in Dhaka on Wednesday. The launching ceremony for Maxwell Robot Restaurant was arranged jointly by the restaurant authorities and China-based robot-manufacturing organization HZX Electronic Technology Company. The restaurant has installed two humanoid robots to serve food to customers. Located in the Family World Convention Centre at 2/6 Asad Gate, Mirpur Road, near the Bangladesh prime minister’s official residence, people from all walks of life may go to the restaurant to experience their unique mechanized service. Rahin Raiyan, director of the restaurant, said: “Robots will provide better service to customers than waiters. Besides, the service will be a source of amusement for people of all ages, especially children. “We will keep the menu at a reasonable price and hope that people of all classes will be able to enjoy our service,” he added.

Situated at a prime location, but the restaurant definitely failed to attract people to come over for a second time. The food quality is just too 'normal'. There are set menus, and they can't provide you all the items all the time, although they'll charge you the full and which seems pretty high for its value. There are three 'Robots', which are basically robot shaped trolleys programmed to get your foods from the kitchen near to your table operated by the waiters. If you're expecting something like in Japan or any AI, you'll get frustrated. But, it can attract the kids surely.
